About Us

Project Mom Bags is a registered 501(c)(3) Non Profit. To continue our mission, we rely solely on our supporters.

Our Mission:
To provide comfort and essential care items to moms with children in the ICU — one bag, one moment of hope at a time.

Our Story:
The idea for Project Mom Bags started when Laura’s son, Grant, was in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) his first year of life. Grant was born with a congenital heart defect which led to a life saving heart transplant. She was a new mom and had no idea what was ahead of her. Living in her child’s ICU room is not what she imagined her “postpartum journey” to look like. From living that experience and watching others do the same, Laura founded Project Mom Bags. The amount of stress a parent feels in these situations are unimaginable. The goal is to take an ounce of that stress away by supporting these moms with comfort items.

What’s in a Mom Bag?
Each tote includes items like a hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, blanket, toiletries, snacks, and other small comforts to help a mom feel human again.
